A tentative date for surgery is not for at least a few weeks. Once a date is confirmed, we will post it. For now, to keep the cancer "contained," Sammy has to continue with chemotherapy. She'll go to Dartmouth tomorrow and most likely return home on Saturday. Samantha's mood continues to remain upbeat and positive She's defines the word "amputation" to her peers. She matter of factly explains that it must be done to save her life. Then she moves on and talks about something else.
Samantha loves school and her piano lessons. She is also looking forward to taking some Spanish classes. Rebecca recently started cello lessons. She's also going to write a column for the school newspaper.
Our lives are finally becoming more routine and predictable. We thank all of you so much for feeding us for the past SIX MONTHS. I think it's time, however, we turn on our stove and dust off the Weight Watchers cookbooks. We realize many people want to DO SOMETHING (a dear friend once prepared us a meal and said, "I don't care if you throw it in the trash. I just had to make something!") So, of course, if you want to prepare something, the calendar will remain on the website and we'll eat up whatever you bring. I just want everyone to know that we're back on track so no worries about us starving to death!
Thank you all for continuing to send love and positive thinking our way!
