Sorry for not posting in a while. We are FINALLY in some sort of a routine and it feels so good! Sammy and Becca are attending school, Shari is back at work, and the house is a mess!!!
Samantha attends physical therapy twice/week and yesterday she WALKED using her prosthetic without any crutches! She also kicked a ball around. She is strong, brave and determined. We are so proud of her.
The antiangiogenic therapy continues. Sammy will have regulary scheduled lung scans, bone scans, MRIs, etc. We hope to celebrate each time we receive scan results. We will definitely let you know when to toast at home.
So it's all good right now. When we look back at where we all were last year, we honestly don't know how we got through it. But we did. Our family, friends, neighbors, employers, strangers... all of you, THANK YOU!
And always, thanks for checking in!

You don't know me and I really don't know you but I have heard about you through someone I work with. I regularly check your website to get updates on Sammy's condition. I am in awe of her determination and courage she is truly an example for all of us to folow. I am so happy to hear the latest news!!! I too am a cancer survivor and I know what you mean when you say "I don't know how we made it through." God bless you all!!

Hi Sammy! Hi Rebecca! If you are both back at school and your mom is back at work, then she is right across the street from me. We could eat lunch sitting at the picnic table between our buildings. Ask her to call me!
Katherine has been really tired since starting school. Are you?
Beth (Katherine's mom)
