Samantha and Shari returned today from Dartmouth. This was one of Sammy's "better" hospital stays and she got out of her room quite a bit. Samantha has become a regular at the hospital's medical library (don't ask) and has even perfected the art of disguising her voice when she calls in her winning Bingo numbers.
Those from Bow probably know by now that there is another Bow family at Dartmouth. Taylor Gauthier, a first grader, just started cancer treatment. Taylor's family will soon have a website up and running and we will post the address and soon as we know it. Taylor's brother, Cameron, is in third grade. He and Rebecca will probably scooter in the empty Dartmouth parking lot this weekend.
Thanks to everyone for welcoming Samantha back to school last week. She really enjoyed meeting her classmates and seeing her friends in the hallway and at Open House. Back at home, Mrs. Spangler has been working Samantha to the bone!
This was yet another long hospital stay so we again want to thank those who brought prepared meals to David and Rebecca while Sammy and Shari were gone.
Sammy's back to Dartmouth on Friday morning, 9/22, for chemo. On 9/26, she's scheduled to see a surgeon at Children's in Boston. Surgery will have to occur within the next month... we'll know more dates once we obtain the 2 surgical opinions.
Thank you for EVERYTHING and for checking in.
