We're Home!

Sammy was discharged from Dartmouth on Friday night. It was SO great to sleep in our own beds again! Sammy is feeling better now but had to go through quite a lot to get where she is. She doesn't return to Dartmouth (HOPEFULLY) until 9/15, so we are looking forward to enjoying a week at home.

This week Sammy will start working with her tutor. If you're reading this and you are from Bow, sit down now because I'm going to tell you who the tutor is.... ready???? Claudia Spangler. Mrs. Spangler was Sammy's first grade teacher last year. Last year was Mrs. Spangler's last at Bow Elementary because she finally took a well-deserved retirement. Sammy was so excited to hear that Mrs. Spangler would be working with her. Mom could not stop crying and Sammy had to kick her out of the room.

Sammy may try to get into school this week for a short while. She misses her friends.

Upcoming dates:

9/15: Dartmouth for chemo. An approximate 5 day stay.
9/22: same as above.
9/26: Children's Hospital, Boston. 2nd surgical opinion.
Late Sept/early Oct: surgery in Boston

Sammy has to start chemo again as soon as possible after surgery. That will still be up at Dartmouth.

Thank you all for everything you are doing to support our family. How will we ever be able to adequately thank you??? Sammy enjoys getting calls, email, and cards from her friends. So please, keep sending!!

Hey you guys!! Welcome home. I am working on my dinner menu. So far, I think I will try one of the recipees that I picked up at the Montreal Insectorium. Earth worms are delicious.
