Well, we finally heard from Boston. The delay was caused by the physicians' desire to look more closely at films of the tumor on Sammy's leg bone. Surgery is going to be put on hold for now until Sammy's doctor finishes giving Sammy a new type of chemo. This chemo is a six week cycle so we won't be around much. Yuck.
Sammy is in pretty good spirits. She's gone to school this week and even had a sleepover at her friend, Lindsay's, house (that would be Sammy's 24 year old friend...).
Next trip to Dartmouth will be this coming Tuesday, 10/24. Assuming all goes well, we will be discharged on Saturday night. Then we go back in weekly thereafter for the same duration.
Thank you all for checking in and for your ongoing support.

Thanks so much for the update. We are all pulling for you, with crossed fingers, toes, etc. Hope you have a nice weekend and beginning of the week before the chemo starts again.
Best always, Jack, Jean and John
Shoshana-
We hope this round of chemo is easier on you. We're all thinking of you and miss you. We'll be by on Sunday with eats...
