Back Home

Sammy made it home yesterday. She's doing ok but, you know, sometimes all that she's gone through just catches up with her, and she has a hard time. She's sick and tired of having cancer and who can blame her. Most of all, she misses her cat who has been missing in action for the last few months. With warm weather and school vacation coming our way, we'll try to stay busy and enjoy all that life has to offer. Sammy loves seeing her friends so please call if you have some time.

Thank you for checking in!

Shari and David

Sammy-guess what? You have every right to be sick and tired of all of this yucky stuff-and where is that cat when you need her or him? (Can't see its tail from here).Sometimes when the weather warms up they like to explore everything they have been missing all winter long, plus,as you know, there are a lot of moles out there coming out of their holes. (Hey that rhymes) anyhow, keep your fingers crossed. I know I am.-Brinkley's mom.

Hey Sammy,

(from Avery) I know how you feel. I told my mom I'm sick of all this doctor stuff. I know it must hurt with your leg off (sorry Sammy, but that's how a five year old talks...) I hope you get better soon, and maybe I could come over and cheer you up, and bring my Wii video games to cheer you up.

Love,
Avery

P.S. From the rest of us- I hope you're okay with Avery's "blunt-ness". He really wants you to feel better. If you want company-let us know. If you want anything else we can do for you-let us know that, too. We're thinking of you! At least Sanjaya got voted off of American Idol this week-there's one positive! :)

Hi Sammy,
I know that you hate all the hospitals and the treatments. I know that everyone tells you how special you are, and of course, you are! But I also know that sometimes you just want to be normal and live life the way it used to be. It's hard to imagine how good things are going to be later on, but they will. One day you'll climb a tall mountain, kayak a mighty river, go snorkeling in the ocean, and ride a horse at top speed. The friends you'll be with will have long forgotten about your leg, because they won't notice it anymore, and they won't care. And when that day comes, you'll be laughing and joking with them about silly things, and you'll be feeling very very normal. It might seem like that's a million years away, but it's not. It might seem like it will never happen, but it will. All those things and so much more will happen someday Sammy. They most certainly will.

Hi Sammy! It's Katherine! Hang in there! If you ever need me you know where to find me! I hope your cat comes home, if he/she doesn't you could have our cat! ( We will be glad to get rid of her!) We will gladly give her up if you don't mind that she hides all day, hates dogs what so ever, and hisses if you try to touch her! You can have her. Just to let you know I have my pinky in a split, someone knoked it out of place! You will be better in no time, don't worry! - Katherine
