Sammy headed off to Dartmouth today with her bags packed, ready to spend the night for some chemo. Sammy's oncologist, however, decided that it would make more sense to wait another week or so for Sammy's leg wound to heal some more before resuming chemo. Needless to say, that was fine with Sammy. So, she's back home for another week or so. Her leg wound looks great and is healing quickly. Sammy takes care of all the necessary dressing changes. Sammy's doctors and nurses praise Sammy's ability to perform her "wet to dry" dressings. Thank goodness Sammy enjoys doing it, because that is the one thing that Shari just doesn't have the stomach to do. Shari has stepped up to the plate and has given Sammy a million shots, but that's her limit. David is the "night nurse." His job is to set the alarm every night (or morning), to administer Sammy's medication. He gets up at least once or twice a night.
So that's life at the Rotman House. It's kind of like a nursing home but with better food (thanks to all of our friends).
We'll keep you posted.

Rotmans,
You continue to be in our thoughts daily, and we really appreciate the time and effort it took for you to write out the FAQs in the midst of all you are going through. It was really helpful to read.
We hope this is a good week for you all.
Dan, Betsy, Isaiah and Samuel
You have quite the nursing home going there! With amazing staff!! Despite this long journey you have all been on, with much courage and grace, it is wonderful and amazing to see your sense of humor and joy in life remains intact. Many kudos to you all. Keep on hanging in there. With great admiration, respect and love,
Jack, Jean and John
Thank you so much for the detailed info. It's hard to be in CA and send our hugs and best wishes from afar. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Love you all---The Moores
