A Really Sweet Story

As we mentioned, Sammy has really been down about her missing cat, Molly. So yesterday we went to the shelter to look for some kittens. There weren't any but we were told that today there would be a cat coming in who just had its leg amputated. So we returned to the shelter today to meet the cat. Turned out, coincidentally, the shelter had already named the cat "Sam." Also, the amputated leg is the left rear. Needless to say, the girls filled out all of the necessary paperwork and Sam will be coming to his new home on Thursday. Sam had his surgery only two days ago so he will need lots of love and patience. Tons of that to go around here. We'll post some pictures on the website soon.

Sammy's leg wound is looking really good. She has an appointment with her prothetist early next week at which time the fitting process will most likely begin. It starts with some sort of casting. We'll learn as we go.

So we're all doing well. Thank you so much for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.

Shari and David

Wow, Sam is one very lucky cat!! Could not have picked a better family to join. Sammy and Becca, you both never cease to amaze all of us and teach us such important life lessons! We are also thrilled to hear Sammy's leg wound is looking good and that the fitting process will soon begin.

Sorry that Heather was eliminated tonight from "Dancing", but it looked like she was ready to go. Nothing to do with her leg, but with her new schedule of flying back and forth to England every week for her daughter. She has her priorities straight and I don't think she thought the U.S. fans would keep her on as long as we did. But she is very inspirational, as your whole family continues to be.

You Rock, Rotmans!!

Sammy, I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Mark Eiglarsh. I'm an attorney living in Florida. I'm a friend of your parents. Before you were born, your daddy and I worked together as prosecutors here in Miami, Florida. He was a wonderful prosecutor (I hear he still is). Both your mommy and daddy are extraordinary people. You are so blessed to have them in your life and they are equally blessed to have you in their lives.
When I called your daddy this week and wished him a "Happy Birthday," he shared with me the challenges that you've been having. I wanted to say how proud of you I am. You're going through a lot right now and your positive energy and sense of humor is admirable. It is your positive attitude that is actually helping others around you get through this tough time.
I wanted to let you know that I am praying for you and your entire family. I wish you the very best and hope to meet you some day. Mark

Sammy....

Grammy Lois told us about the cat...we did not know you had lost a cat...so we are thrilled that you have a replacement and one that is named SAM. We will be waiting for Mom to post pictures of this new addition to the Rotman family so that we can check him out!
Your new friend, Sam is one lucky cat to be coming to your house where he will receive an abundance of love and care.
We will see Granny Lois and Buba soon in Florida where we are all going to a wedding.
In the meantime keep smiling and take care of that cat!!!

Love to you, Becca and Mom and Dad.

Rotmans...

Just thinking of you and wanted to stop in and let you all know you remain in my thoughts and prayers.

Justine is still going through her chemo as you very well know that's a rough road.

Again, just wanted to send you my best and let you know I keep praying for all of you that this gets easier with time.
