Wow...

What else can we say? Yesterday was such a crazy and wonderful day. We were on the move from start to finish. Becca crashed and burned when it was all over. Sammy could have kept going. She loves LA.

Our day started at a park called Aidan's Place. Aidan's Place is one of many parks developed by a foundation called Shane's Inspiration. The playgrounds in these parks are designed so that children (and family members) with physical disablilities can use the same playground equipment that able bodied kids and adults are able to use. It's a wonderful place and the children who use it are so glad it's there.

Sammy was swinging at the park when, surprise, Heather Mills appeared... Heather is a big supporter of Shane's Inspiration. Sammy and Becca were not expecting to see Heather at the park (even though the camera crew and photographer from Entertainment Tonight were hovering around Sammy like paparazzi). Heather pushed Sammy on the swing for a while, then they compared legs (the artificial ones). Upon checking out Sammy's leg, Heather exclaimed, "that's a state of the art leg!" THANK YOU, NEXT STEP!!!!

Heather then PIGGY BACKED Sammy over to a picnic table (you know she has a good leg when she can piggy back , in high heels, an 8 year old child) where a birthday cake and representatives from American Girl Doll were waiting. Lots of kids from the park sang happy birthday to Sammy. Sammy and Becca were given dolls and "stuff" by American Girl. Shari, of course, reinforced to the American Girl reps, how important it is to create a doll who's not physically perfect. They say that's something they're advocating for...

With the cameras still rolling, Heather then taught Sammy and Becca some upper body dance moves.

After interviews, photographs, and park play, we left Aidan's Place in the hands of our limo driver, Nicklas. The handsome young Swede (whom the girls say "smells good"), took us to the Santa Monica Pier and then to Venice Beach. Lots of fun.

We then headed back to the hotel, exhausted. We relaxed for a short while and freshened up. Nicklas then picked us up for dinner at Spago. The food and service was wonderful. The girls even got to make their own sundaes in the kitchen with a pastry chef! We didn't see any celebs but, honestly, we were having such a good time we didn't even look.

We got back to the hotel and CRASHED.

Today, the 3 Rotman ladies will have some spa time before we all head off to the season finale of Dancing With the Stars.

This blog cannot even begin to do justice to what a spectacular day we had yesterday. It was one to remember forever; not because of all the star treatment, but rather because as a family we enjoyed every moment together. It was perfect.

So... check out tonight's edition of Entertainment Tonight. The girls may even have some air time on DWTS.

We will keep you updated!

Hello Rotman Family
I have been watching and watching to see you on TV. I saw Becca and Sammy briefly on ET last evening with Heather Mills. (Heather Mills is my new HERO!)

There is not a family anywhere who deserves all this more than the 4 of you. Enjoy every minute. Everyone here at BES is excited for you!

Love
