One Down, One To Go

Samantha's lung surgery went well yesterday. Based on what could be seen on the CT scans and what could be felt while palpating Sammy's lung during the surgery, Dr. Shamberger removed 3 nodules. Sammy is resting somewhat comfortably today. She has an epidural in for pain. We hope to get out of here in a few days. So far, everything looks good and we're praying that it stays that way!

Boston Children's has been great. The best part about it is that one of Sammy's favorite nurses from Dartmouth, Sarah, now works at Children's. Sarah visited Sammy last night and even though Sammy was SO medicated, you could see the little smile.

At this time, Sammy is not in the best of shape to enjoy any visitors. Should that change, we'll definitely let folks know.

Thank you all so much for sending so much postitive energy our way yesterday. The stress of all of this is incredible and we couldn't do it without your support.

Shari and David
