Quickly Recovering

Samantha has been doing very well, getting stronger by the day. Most likely she will return to Camp Shaker next week.

Having two lung surgeries in one month is pretty major. After a week at home, however, Sammy was itching to get out of the house. So, we got out of the house quite a bit this week. Highlights included swimming with Dad, shopping at the mall, loitering in downtown Concord, haircuts, physical therapy, hanging out with her 20-something year old homegirls, and crashing the State House:

Rebecca sitting at Governor Lynch's desk. Her idea of a good law: "No wars unless we absolutely need them."
Samantha sitting at the Governor's desk. Her law: "Clothes everywhere."

Shari at the Governor's desk thinking: "How did my girls turn out to be SO different???!!!"
We are looking forward to the Rascal Flatts concert this weekend. There will be LOTS of singing on the ride to Connecticut and back.
Early next week Sammy will have a post-surgical follow up at Children's and a meeting with her oncologist at Dana Farber. Most likely, she'll start some new medication next week.
Thanks again, everyone, for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.
Shari and David

You guys are so funny. Is this David's way of getting a promotion? Rock On. We just bought our first Rascal Flatts CD. We are enroute to Chautauqua, NY for two weeks. Brink sends her best from the pool.....

Sammy,
If you decide not to run for President of the United States of America, would you kindly ask Governor Lynch to consider doing so. His success as governor of New Hampshire, his enormous popularity, compassion, brilliance and leadership skills would make him a fabulous president. And, he is also cuter than all the other candidates.
A Samantha Rotman/Governor Lynch fan

Hi Girls, We LOVE your new laws. But couldn't you mention something about candy? Or making free, supersonic travel between Connecticut and New Hampshire? What about mandatory mall trips the first day of every season? See what you can do, ok? (And tell your governor to call ours.)
Hope to see you at Camp Sunshine soon, if not, somewhere else soon too!
All our love, Debbi, Andrew, Logan, Eli and Milo
