Hello. We are here at Camp Sunshine and will be returning home tomorrow. (Krista, if you read this blog before I talk to you, do you mind making Camp Sunshine one of our links???).
For those of you who don't know about this camp, it is free to the families that attend. All of this is made possible because of generous sponsors. Families do not attend Camp Sunshine knowing who their sponsor will be. In fact, it's usually an anonymous donation that supports a family's stay. When I picked up our "sponsor packet" this afternoon, however, I came to learn that our stay this summer was made possible by the Bow Memorial School Student Council. Goose bumps and tears quickly followed.
It has been over one year since Sammy was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma and the end is not yet in sight. The ongoing thoughtfulness and generosity of our family, friends, neighbors and strangers is what keeps us going. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.
We are having a great time here and will post some photos when we return home.
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!
