Hello,
We're still down here at Boston Children's but are hoping to get back home tomorrow. The first few days were pretty miserable for Sammy but she is feeling much better now and has even gotten out of bed a couple of times to sit in a chair. The chest tube was removed yesterday and it's all downhill from there.
Rebecca is staying down in Boston with us, using the Ronald McDonald House a few blocks away as a place to sleep (though we LOVE "Hotel Buchler," it's nice to be within walking distance of the hospital). For the last day, Rebecca and Sammy have been using their laptops to play on various websites together. They are enjoying each other's company and it's so wonderful to all be together.
We can't wait to get back home. There are a couple of kittens waiting to be picked up by Becca and Sammy as soon as we return.

Hi Shari, David, Becca, and Sammy,
We are keeping close watch on the Rotmans! Of course, as always, we pray for all of you. You all have so much strength; although you may not think so. Becca, you are the best big sister I know; and Shari and David you are both a great example to everyone. Sammy, you are a miracle. Bob and I send our love and best wishes.
