Hello,
Nothing new was seen on Sammy's lung scans yesterday except for one spot that most likely is scar tissue. We were thrilled. David and I then sat down with Sammy's oncologist and nurse practitioner and had a long talk about how to proceed, ultimately deciding to leave well enough alone, not start any new medication, and rescan in early April. It was a long, grueling day, that left us emotionally and physically exhausted. Other Osteosarcoma families we know refer to the syndrome as "Scanxiety." Ha, ha, ha (NOT!!!).
So back to business as usual for the next couple of months. We LOVE business as usual.

I just checked your blog and am so happy to hear the great news! You have such strength and positive thinking as well as an incredibly loving and supportive family.

Sooo sorry we haven't been in touch since the holidays. You all have a special place in our hearts and we think of your entire family often!
