All things considered, the last few days have been pretty great.
Sunday: David took the girls to the movies and then, after a brief swim at the Lotmans', Sammy and Emily went to the mall for a "Day of Beauty" while Becca spent the rest of the day swimming and sleeping over at Sarah's. Sammy and Emily had makeovers, pedicures, hairstyles. Lots of fun. I tried to post before and after pictures, but I'm having a hard time with the new camera. Bummer. Afterwards, the girls dined at their favorite restaurant, Moritomo. Of course a sleepover topped off the day.
Monday: Becca, Sammy and I went to Bow Elementary School to meet with Ms. Gibbens and Mrs. Morrill-Winter. The first day of school is Wed., 8/27. Sammy has every intention of getting on the bus in the morning and returning home on the bus in the afternoon. Ms. Gibbens and Mrs. Morrill-Winter are thrilled. After the meeting, we lunched at Puppy Love and ran some errands. We watched movies late into the night until finally crashing.
Tuesday: Did I mention that at 8:00 AM almost every morning Sammy wakes up and asks for a chicken caesar salad? She eats approximately four salads/day. So this morning started off in the kitchen at 8:00 AM. Visting nurses came later in the morning (as Sammy was eating her 2nd salad of the day and Becca was starting her first). Following the appointment, Becca had to visit the dentist to have her spacers put in in preparation for braces!!! The girls and I then lunched at Puppy Love and walked around downtown Concord. The weather was perfect and we had a great time going in and out of shops. We'll probably watch late night movies again tonight.
We've been pretty busy over the last few days. Earlier this evening, Sammy started to complain of dizziness. So right now she's tucked into bed under parents' orders to relax and take it easy. She just finished her third salad and is agreeable to getting some rest.
Thank you everyone for your ongoing support.

Sammy,
We are tired reading about all of your activities the last few days. We especially liked the "dog wash" adventure you had with Buddy, your Father and Bubba. And your trip to the Market Basket with your Mother and the soda explosion episode was hysterical...we are still laughing.
We know you will be starting school soon and you will continue to be one very busy girl with homework and all your "out of school"
sa activities.
We are in Skillman now taking care of cousins Karen and David's house, their dog, Chelsea and teen age cousins, Josh and Elayna. Karen and David are in Maui, Hawaii celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary. Your Mother was at their wedding 20 years ago last June!
Grandma Lois and Bubba keep us up to date with you and Becca "comings and goings" and of course your website fills in all the details as well.
Enough for now .... talk to you again...
Love to you, Becca, Mom & Dad...

Hey Rotman crew!
Oh my gosh, that Market Basket story is hysterical! It reminds me of the time I was attempting to look cool at Dartmouth, and was pushing Avery around while he rode on the IV pole, with of course, the social worker walking with us, and right in front of the mall/gift shop thing, I completely dumped Avery over, bags of chemo and everything went flying, his IV got almost yanked out of his PICC line, all these people came running over, and of course, in classic style, Avery says, "Nice One MOM!" It was so totally embarassing:) I was surprised they let me take him home after that, I thought the social worker was going to put him with someone else! We can also identify with the whole cesear salad thing, as AVery's craving on steroids was always Chicken nuggets. One morning, I really thought I was going to get arrested, as I pushed all three of my kids in their pajamas, me not looking any better, around in a cart at Shaws, at 6:30 a.m., buying a massive bag of chicken nuggets. I think people just don't get it :) You have to laugh, though...
I know we rarely see each other, but know that we love you guys, and you are never far from our thoughts.
Love Always,
