Sorry we haven't posted for a while. Samantha has had a lot of pain since her leg amputation. We hust haven't had the energy to post.
Perhaps some of you readers have seen and/or heard Samantha while you've been out and about. That's because, despite her pain, Samantha INSISTS on attending every function and activity that she learns of. Those of you who know Samantha know how strong willed she is. Since the day she was born, there has been NO negotiating with that girl. She wants it her way and won't give up until she wins. We pick and choose our battles with her.
So, Samantha goes about her business with a big smile on her face for those she sees. It has been a busy week with trips to the mall, a slumber party, and attendance at 2 plays. The most fun was had at Rebecca's play. Rebecca is quite the actress and she always makes us laugh. "Ladies First, Ladies First." Second best was the St. Patrick's Day legislative breakfast at which Samantha was honored. Lobbyist Jim Demers holds an annual breakfast to raise funds for Children's Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD). Samantha spoke before hundreds of guests to explain what a special place CHaD is and to thank Mr. Demers for his contributions towards the hospital. Samantha painted a portrait of Governor Lynch that was auctioned off to raise money for CHaD. First lady, Dr. Lynch, bought it for $1,000!!! Samantha's other piece of art will be hung at the State House. Very cool.
So, that's it for now. Rebecca continues to be THE BEST sister ever. She is loving, supportive, and kind. Auntie Laurie came in from Oregon this week to lend a helping hand. We are really going to miss her.
We will try to keep the blog updated in a timely manner. Thanks for feeding us and checking in.

Sammy,
My goodness you are one busy young lady...your making Mom and Dad keep on the run to get you to all your activities. We are happy that you want to be part of everything...we only hope you don't overdue it.
Rebecca's play, the slumber party, the fundraiser all sound like great fun.
Grammy had written us about the St. Patrick celebration breakfast and auction. You portrait of the Governor really brought in a bundle for the Childrens Hospital at Dartmouth. We saw the painting...we were very impressed.
Please say hello to Aunt Laurie, Mom, Dad and Becca for us. And we hope that the pain that has been with you will soon lessen and leave you alone.
Love,
Aunt Phyllis & Uncle Saul
Hi Sammy,
I was lucky enough to be at the St.Patricks day roast and to hear you speak. You did a great job. Everyone in the audience enjoyed it too. Were you nervous? You sure didn't look it or act it. I hope you are feeling better.
